Saturday in Sorrento

Today life found Luca and me at Sorrento, and yes I have been fortunate enough to have lunched in the original Sorrento in Italy.

 

We shopped and lunched at Shells cafe, but my highlight was a visit to my favorite shop Antipodes book store on the main street.

 

 

 I usually never leave without a cookbook, however, today Luca picked a book for himself and I chose a novel I’ve been waiting to read for some time.

 

We received fabulous service from the lovely owner who is always a fountain of knowledge of the beautiful books that adorn her store.

 

I couldn’t help but go over and peruse more cookbooks, which I obviously won’t be able to live without.

 

Luca and I left Antipodes with our books and the future excitement of returning next time we visit Sorrento.

 

We then headed to Providore where I bought a Masterchef macaron baking set, and then off home we went.
